Would it be nice if she based her assessments on reality, wouldn’t it? She states that the Republican Party is racist. Hmmm, let me see about that. First of all the Republican Party was founded on championing the rights of black Americans. Second, the Republican Party after they won the house and senate and the Presidency sponsored and pushed through the 13th, 14th, and 15th amendments which were to free the slaves, give freed slaves citizenship, and then voting rights. It’s also interesting to note that the Democrats fought these amendments viciously even beating the GOP senators. Also, does Ms. Garofalo know that it was the Republican Party that wrote and pushed through every civil rights bill on the books? Hmmm?
